PROJECT INFORMATION :
Brewster Murray responded to this challenging site and its numerous development constraints - steep topography, riparian zone, significant existing trees and proximity to heritage buildings - with the proposal of two multi-residential blocks connected by a bridge, resulting in a scheme that concentrates the building footprint away from the riparian zone.
When viewed from the Livingstone Avenue, the apartments' bulk and scale remain consistent with the surrounding streetscape. Blended with new and existing landscaping, the development provides a softened transition from the public domain to the residential home.
