KIEM ONG

DIRECTOR | ARCHITECT 

Director of Brewster Murray from 1994, Kiem has been in architectural practice since 1979. He has completed a post-graduate Master of Building Science course in project management.

Kiem has been involved in a wide range of building types including residential and commercial buildings, telecommunications, radio and television media, interior fit-outs and hotels. 

Kiem specialises in project management, design management and contract administration and has an in-depth knowledge of the current state of the building industry including regulatory requirements.

 

Michael BULLEN

DIRECTOR | ARCHITECT

Engaged in architectural practice for 25 years, Michael was invited to become a director of Brewster Murray in 2005, Qualifying as a town planner in 2000, he brings additional experience in urban design and planning to negotiations with Council’s and development consent authorities.

Specialising in media & telecommunications including radio and television stations and offices throughout Australia and overseas, Michael has completed numerous projects working in collaboration with the ABC, and acts as honorary architect to Scouts Australia and the Ashfield Infants Home.

 

HONG HUANG

DIRECTOR | ARCHITECT

Hong has worked with Brewster Murray since 1993 and was appointed a director of Brewster Murray in 2014. She is Brewster Murray's most proficient residential designer with extensive ongoing experience in multi-unit residential projects throughout Australia.

Hong holds a Bachelors Degree in Architecture as well as a Masters Degree in Construction Management. 

With vast experience in working with developers for feasibility studies, development approval and project management, Hong has designed some of the largest and most iconic residential developments in Sydney.

 

YVONNE RANTZEN

INTERIOR DESIGN PRINCIPAL

Yvonne leads Brewster Murray’s Interiors Department. Her key strength is creating strong client and project team relationships for an  evolving project. Her approach focuses on how the built environment can drive organisational culture while creating spaces that integrate functionality, sustainability, aesthetics and cultural needs. She excels in maintaining a clear conceptual direction throughout design and delivery.

Many of Yvonne’s projects involve the gathering and dissemination of complex client and end user requirements during the briefing stage and onwards through the life of the project. She achieves this whilst retaining balance and focus on achieving the best outcomes for all involved. 

 

rodelio hernandez

associate DIRECTOR | ARCHITECT

Rodelio has been with Brewster Murray for over 30 years and has been an Associate Director since 2007. He has extensive experience across a broad range of project types including residential multi-unit apartments, high-end commercial fitouts, infrastructure and telecommunication projects.

Rodelio is also highly skilled in coordinating building services & structural engineering disciplines, which combined with his meticulous attention to detail has ensured successful delivery of numerous Telstra and Optus telecommunications projects in the Sydney CBD, metropolitan areas and regional NSW.

david burke

associate DIRECTOR | ARCHITECT

David has been an Associate Director of Brewster Murray since 1986. He is responsible for the implementation and ongoing assessment of the Brewster Murray accredited Quality Assurance System. 

The professional services he provides include project management, preparation for development consent, provision of full construction documentation and construction phase services support. He has been involved with numerous public housing projects for the NSW Land & Housing, Family & Community Services and NSW Department of Ageing, Disability and Home Care, These projects range from small group home to multi-unit seniors living accomodation.

 

john caldwell

associate DIRECTOR | ARCHITECT

John is an Associate Director with more than 25 years' experience completing a wide range of building types including educational, industrial, commercial, residential, interior and infrastructure projects.

 With in-depth experience project managing all phases of design, documentation and contract administration, John has had key involvement in many successful projects for multi-residential apartments, NSW Land & Housing Corporation, the Roads & Maritime Services, and infrastructure services for Endeavor Energy and Ausgrid. 

 

 

HUGH Colless

ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR | ARCHITECT

Hugh is a dynamic and ambitious registered design architect with over 10 years’ experience in a range of projects. Whilst studying a Bachelor of Architectural Studies followed by a Master of Architecture, he has worked in a wide range of roles and positions in the architectural field.

Hugh’s attention to detail and excellent problem solving skills ensure that every project he works on is done accurately and to the highest possible standard. As a senior design architect, Hugh is an innovative designer and project team leader with significant expertise in a range of projects including residential, commercial, and public housing

 

STEVEN CHRISTOFORIDIS

ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR | ARCHITECT

Steven has over 10 years’ experience working with Brewster Murray. He has had key involvement in highly successful residential and commercial developments ranging from $10 million to $60 million. He has wide and extensive experience in all phases of design development, detailed documentation, and project management.

His attention to detail, comprehensive knowledge and collaborative approach ensures high client satisfaction. Steven’s experience and knowledge places him in an excellent position to be a project leader of major developments.

Tony Hiliadas

INTERIOR DESIGN MANAGER

Tony worked has worked with Brewster Murray and leading architectural and interior design firms in New Zealand and Australia. He has gained a broad experience encompassing space planning, design development, documentation and management of major corporate interior fit outs and building refurbishment projects.

He has a passion for the design of contemporary workplaces that respond to the challenges of a changing work environment through design solutions that allow occupants to explore collaborative new ways of working and communicating.

 

RUWANI GURUGE

SENIOR ARCHITECT

Ruwani joined Brewster Murray as a member of the residential design team. She is a senior architect with broad skills in concept, design & design development, architectural detailing, design communication & documentation.

On a professional level, Ruwani has worked in projects in Sydney, South and East Asia, and Middle East over 10 years in multiple sectors with emphasis on multi-unit, high-medium rise and single unit residential projects.
